However, it turns out the 62-year-old almost gave up his place at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, after spending time abroad after his A-Levels.

Speaking in a new interview, Kevin revealed that during his sabbatical he traveled to Italy where he worked on a farm and studied singing at the Florence Conservatory of Music.

Kevin revealed he almost pursued a career in music

Music was a passion for him, and his parents had even met while singing together in a chapel choir. They passed on their talent to their son, and after his one-year stay in Italy, he was offered a permanent place in the prestigious music school.

However, Kevin ultimately decided not to pursue music and chose to major in architecture.. According to The Guardian, “he wrote to his father to tell him that he would not come back to start his studies at the University of Cambridge”, which prompted his father to write a “rather stiff” letter in return which persuaded his son not to waste your chance to study at one of the best universities in the UK.

In addition to hosting the popular Channel 4 real estate program, the star owns his own architectural firm, called MCC3 Ltd, which made profits from over £ 3million in 2019 alone.
